Rentex Audio Visual & Computer Rentals is seeking a Non-CDL Delivery Driver to join our team at our Fort Lauderdale, FL location. In this role, you will safely load, transport, and unload audiovisual equipment between our warehouse and customer locations. While this position does not require a commercial driver’s license (CDL), candidates must have a valid state driver’s license and a clean driving record.
This is a Monday–Friday position (9:00 AM – 5:30 PM), though shift times may vary based on business needs.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Load, unload, and safely operate delivery vehicles
- Deliver and pick up Rentex audiovisual equipment
- Provide exceptional customer service at delivery and pickup locations
- Maintain regular communication with dispatch
- Learn and navigate regular delivery locations and routes
- Scan equipment in and out of Rentex’s rental system
- Check for missing or damaged equipment and report findings
- Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and DOT requirements
Qualifications
General Requirements
- High school diploma or GED (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
Driving Requirements
- Valid in-state driver’s license to operate vehicles up to 25,999 pounds
- DOT medical card (or ability to obtain)
- Clean driving record for the past 3–5 years (no DUIs)
- Preferred: Minimum 1 year of verifiable experience driving cargo vans, cube trucks, box trucks, or straight trucks up to 26 feet
Work Schedule
This position is scheduled Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM, with potential variability depending on business needs.
